Well GKGundamKit has not really solved anything but things are all shipped out and they threw in a free T-Shirt. I didn't get them to accept there system made an error but i will take my PG GP01 and free gift and never shop there again. maybe you guys will have better luck but it is not worth it for me. Living in the States has a large amount to due with it though. shipping costs are extremely high so between that and this large hassle its just not in the cards.
Good Luck to anyone else who shops there in the future and stay tune i should have my MG GP01 completed here soon with some photos up following completion.

haha, the kit has that effect, I was lucky I found it in a dutch store who could send it that same day.
ReplyDeleteI have to say the painting was expensive >_< and I havent even applied the stickers, maybe soon I will order waterslide decals for it, but to apply those I have to give it a gloss coat. I will put a link up on my blog to yours if you dont mind.

ReplyDeleteI have my decals already actually. I ordered them before i even ordered the kit because it would make me keep looking for a PG GP01. In the end it all worked out. Check Globaltoy on ebay, They have a set for like $7 with $2 shipping. well worth! especially since you did such a smooth paint job on yours, decals would take it OVER THE TOP! haha

Lol, I have samueldecal on facebook where I can order waterslides for my kits too. but I waited to make a bigger order of multiple sheets at a time. but I am not much of a decal person anyway, I kinda like the smooth look the best with only a few decals to be on there, especially with kits like the PG strike freedom you get so many decals that almost the whole armor is covered in decals. And btw the paint job on my GP01 isnt that smooth at all, there are like little spots of black dust on the white that just happend to get there unintentionally, and frosting on the beam rifle. But I like that, a gundam shouldnt be looking to clean in my opinion. Those little imperfections in my paintjob give more life to the model I think.

ahh i here ya. i have not tried samuels decals yet but maybe in the future i will give them a go. bummer about the frosting on the gun though. what clear coat were you using?
ReplyDeleteI was using humbrol clear flat acrylic spray cans, but the frosting on the gun is ok, kinda looks like the paint wore off there from usage. but yeah wasnt really expected. I am ok with it though, its just a small spot not like the whole gun is frosted.
